Root canal treatment is carried out when the pulp inside your tooth has become damaged and infected.
The pulp tissue and all the infective material is removed from inside the tooth, it is just like having a large filling done and takes some time to complete. The procedure is usually carried out over two visits. Despite what most people think or have heard, the procedure is usually pain free and simple to complete.
The treatment enables us to remove the source of the infection and retain your tooth.
Usually, we would recommend a crown on the tooth after the root treatment is completed as this will protect the tooth and increase the success of the treatment.
